When yacht charter is cheaper — data, not opinions
RYC Rentals data — 2,062 charter-company offers from 2024–2026, as of 13 Aug 2026 (when it's cheaper · when to book · price trends):
- The Mediterranean is a last-minute market: a week in Turkey a month before departure costs on average €332 per person against €450 booked early.
- The Caribbean works the other way round: four months ahead a berth costs €337, a month before — already €836. "Wait for a deal" is bad advice there.
- The cheapest place in the Mediterranean is Greece: a median €175 per person per week, and the deepest discounts.
- The cheapest months to charter are October (€251 per person per week) and May (€259).
