Yacht charter prices: 2024–2026
"Minus 50%" is no longer news: in 2024 one boat in six carried such a discount, now it's one in three. We ran 2,154 charter-company offers since June 2024 through a script and worked out what is really happening to prices. Data as of 13 Aug 2026; medians, not "from".
Key facts
- Discounts doubled, the real price didn't. The average July–September discount grew from 24% (2024) to 45% (2026), and the share of offers discounted 50% or more from 17% to 38%. Meanwhile the median price per berth is stable at €260–340 per week in summer. Fleets raised their list prices and gave the difference back as "discounts" — so compare euros per person, not percentages.
- Catamarans are genuinely getting dearer: Lagoon 46 +84% in a year, Bali 4.6 +54%, Lagoon 42 +25%, and discounts on them are shrinking. For a catamaran, early booking beats any "sale".
- Monohulls are getting cheaper or holding steady at 45–55% off: "half price" on a Bavaria or a Dufour is real money, not marketing.
- The fleet on offer is ageing: the average boat age rose from 4.4 to 7.2 years in two years. New hulls go without a discount; a 2022+ boat at around 50% off is a rare find, not a catch.
- Greece is the market's biggest discounter: the only country where discounts deepened further (52% → 63%), and the cheapest place in the Mediterranean — €175 per person per week.
