Security deposit and deposit insuranceThe deposit is placed at check-in on a credit card in the name of the person who signed the contract and released after a clean handover (sometimes 1–2 weeks later). Some charter companies offer deposit insurance instead of the hold — ask the manager whether it is available and what it costs.
